Marcus has bullied me into putting my life on-line (which differs slightly, one hopes, from putting my life on the line) so here is my first attempt to post something on the blog that he so helpfully created for me. I am not at all certain I have anything interesting or useful to say, or any great purpose to serve in taking up this homestead in cyberspace, but I guess I will give it the ol' college try.

Of course, it is entirely possible that once I get started, the difficulty will be getting the hands to turn off. I have to confess that I am a charter member of Ramblers Anonymous, a group of people prone to sending rambling e-mails. We have a 20 step program for kicking the habit...but so far as I know, no-one has yet been cured.
